ALS Today

The Board of Trustees made a decision to implement the curricular programmes of the the International Baccalaureate (IB) at the Advanced Learning Schools.

All of us at ALS strive to create international schools in which attention is paid to the language, culture and history of our host nation. This means that, while local students maintain and develop their place in Saudi society, students from other countries are able to gain first-hand experience of the culture of their host country and all ALS students benefit from being exposed to variety, new experiences and differences of many kinds.

All of us who study and work at Advanced Learning Schools help to forge the school culture since it is made up of the sum of interactions between people.

We are enabled by the fact that:

  • We are accredited by the Council of International Schools.
  • The IB learner profile, with its ten descriptors, is central to our thinking.
  • We are an authorized International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme school. (K-6)
  • We are an authorized International Baccalaureate Diploma Years Programme school. (Grades 11,12)
  • We are a candidate International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme school. (Grades 7-10)
  • We maintain and continue to develop the status of Arabic Language, Arabic Social Studies and Islamic Studies at our school.

Our aim is to provide every student with a learning environment that enables him or her to thrive in our interdependent world where global opportunities and challenges face us daily

All three programmes necessitate active student participation, practical strategies and academic rigour.

ALS Schools and Charity

ALS Schools has been working to serve both national and international communities. School leads the students to improve this attitude. The schools have three programs IB, MYP, and PYP. Each of them require it’s students to serve the community. The students have shown enthusiasm and desire to participate in these activities guided by their teachers whom connected theses activities by their curriculum.
The students have planned, organized, and run different events to collect money for charities and to increase awareness about these issues. These activities have good influence on the targeted organizations as well as the students.

Both boys and girls arranged some visits to many charity organizations in Riyadh including: Orphans institution, Autism Organization, Zahra’s Breast Cancer organization, disabled children association and blind association.
